![]() Here is an excerpt of an email support sent: Therefore, the cancellation provisions in AnyDesk's software license are legal under Florida law.īusiness does not follow Florida law (once again, I did not purchase for "business use") and HQ essentially says they do not have to. The law cited does not apply to the type of software license used, as it is for business purposes, and is not a consumer license.Īs a business customer, the definition of "consumer" as defined in the law is not applicable. THEY ARE NOT NOTIFYING CUSTOMERS EITHER VIA WRITTEN OR ELECTRONIC NOTIFICATION BEFORE THE DEADLINE AS REQUIRED.ĪnyDesk is not violating the Florida law you have cited. Such notification shall disclose clearly and conspicuously:ġ. That unless the consumer cancels the contract the contract will automatically renew.Ģ. Methods by which the consumer may obtain details of the automatic renewal provision and cancellation procedure, whether by contacting the seller at a specified telephone number or address, by referring to the contract, or by any other method. Notification shall be provided to the consumer no less than 30 days or no more than 60 days before the cancellation deadline pursuant to the automatic renewal provision. (b) Any seller that sells or offers to sell any service to a consumer pursuant to a service contract the term of which is a specified period of 12 months or more and that automatically renews for a specified period of more than 1 month, unless the consumer cancels the contract, shall provide the consumer with written or electronic notification of the automatic renewal provision. (a) Any seller that sells, leases, or offers to sell or lease any service to a consumer pursuant to a service contract that has an automatic renewal provision, unless the consumer cancels that contract, shall disclose the automatic renewal provision clearly and conspicuously in the contract or contract offer. (2) SERVICE CONTRACTS WITH AUTOMATIC RENEWAL PROVISIONS. In all the answers they have provided, they repeatedly lean on their terms stating that you must cancel 90 days from the time the contract renews - but they ARE NOT notifying customers beforehand. Why do they continue to harass me?ĪnyDesk is violating Florida state statute by not notifying customers 30-60 days of the contract renewal deadline. How is it legal to lock someone into a service you are not providing for a year after your request? I have NEVER used their service because THEY didn't perform their end of the agreement, so they aren't out anything. There is a note to log onto my "portal" in a previous email, but I DO NOT HAVE AN ACCOUNT, so I have no portal! So? Where do I go from here? And WHY, after over a year of trying to cancel this ridiculous scam am I still dealing with it? The question I have now is "why are they coming after me collections"? I have repeatedly tried to cancel, I even have an email verbally accepting my cancellation,(From Gregory- I am sorry if the email I sent was not clear, we are cancelling your account according to our terms and conditions on Apwhich will be the end of the contract. Only there is NO ONLINE FORM attached and no phone contact info and no additional email address. ![]() Likewise, we can ensure that the right person is taking care of your request in a speedy manner." ![]() We kindly ask you to fill out this online form instead. Therefore, this email inbox is no longer in use. In our quest to provide the best customer experience, we are currently updating our systems and processes. ![]() I have copies of several attempts to cancel, and the latest email sent to me redirects me to "billing" department who sends this back (copied directly from their response) Since then, I have been contacted and told that I have an outstanding bill going to collections. I repeatedly reached out for assistance but no one ever responded to my requests for help so I told them to cancel in May of 2021 since they were not providing the services THEY agreed to. However, I could not get it to work because they never sent the link required or whatever is needed. I had originally signed up for their services in April of 2021.
